Summer June 24, 2005

Summer classes are probably my only saving grave of an entire summer of boredom and near loneliness. For the most part, I can’t really get any of my friends to come down to see me, and if I could — I’d manage to be busy. And the heavy-hitter comes: its going to be like this for another two years. Two years of nearly no one wanting to come near my home. I could get another job, but I think I might TA to remove myself from the situation.

The laptop is now useful again. I bought OS X Tiger for it and the “widgets” alone are worth the upgrade. So neat — so fun to play with. Of course spending seventy dollars to make your previously-spent one thousand dollar item useful is always good, too.

I’m probably a comma whore, but I doubt I know much about the punctuation. Random thought.

I guess I should get ready for class…

Well, it’s been a while since I have updated. There hasn’t been much going on ‘cept that we have a new family member-her name is Kita. She is a kitten of about 8 weeks of age or so (I am guessing). My brother found him outside of Quality Inn in C’ville just wandering around (she almost got run over by my bro’s bestfriend). She looks like an orange tabby cat that fell in a vat of black paint, but when they tried to wash her off, it had stained her fur. She’s cute, fiesty, obnoxious and generally enjoyable.

Other news, we will be moving into the Marietta area in about 2-3 weeks. Hoorah. We are getting a much larger apartment. A two bedroom, two bath with a balcony. It is such a nice apartment community. It has a full gym, pool, tennis courts, on site car wash. It is SWEET!

Other than that, I can’t really think of much. Holla at me sometime.
